Camera Shots Quiz Review

In this assignment, the students were asked to pair up and create a short story from 15 images using two inanimate objects as the characters. Different shot types were needed to finish the quiz correctly.

First of all, my partner and I began by creating a rough draft of what we wanted to create with our images. We laid out the shot type on one side, and what was happening in the scene on the other. My partner and I decided to create a romance story of two water bottles falling in love. Yet, the water bottles' owners had to go separate ways, dragging the water bottles away from each other, separating them indefinitely. We created a well-illustrated vision of what we wanted to accomplish in the small space we had using our water bottles as the characters. After taking all the images, after-effects were used to help enhance the meaning of the pictures and create a sense of emotion.

I believe that we captured the shots as intended. We followed our plan to the best of our ability and enhanced the story with the shots we used. I believe we had a good idea of how we set the tone as the story progressed. However, I believe we struggled with the limited number of shots we were allowed to use. I believe if we were able to figure out a more creative way of telling the story with the number of shots given, it would create an opportunity to make our plot go into more depth.
